EKO HOT BLOG reports that Tunisia had earlier suffered a 5-1 defeat to Sweden in their opening group fixture, leaving them with a goal difference of minus eight after two games. With only one match remaining and a maximum of three points available, they can no longer secure qualification for the Round of 32.
The North Africans became the third nation to exit the competition, joining Haiti and Türkiye, who were eliminated earlier on Sunday.
In Group C, five-time world champions Brazil secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Haiti in Philadelphia to end the Caribbean nation’s hopes of reaching the knockout stage.
The defeat left Haiti rooted to the bottom of the group with no points from two matches and a goal difference of minus four. Haiti will conclude their World Cup campaign against Morocco on June 24, although the fixture will have no impact on qualification.
Türkiye also saw their tournament come to an early end after suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Paraguay at the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium in a Group D encounter.
The loss marked Türkiye’s second consecutive defeat at the tournament, leaving them without a point and mathematically unable to progress to the knockout rounds despite having one group match left to play.

With Tunisia, Haiti, and Türkiye now out of contention, attention will shift to the remaining group-stage fixtures as teams continue their battle for places in the Round of 32.
