Speaking on current security challenges, the Senate President emphasized that the executive arm is working round the clock to neutralize threats posed by criminal elements, bandits, and insurgents.
He cited the recent successful recovery and release of kidnapped school children in Oyo State as a clear demonstration of the administration’s active resolve and operational capacity.
In his address, Akpabio also touched upon women’s participation in Nigerian politics, observing that historic conduct and performance by certain female officeholders in past administrations have occasionally complicated support networks among female voters during elective cycles.
During the courtesy visit, the leadership of LGAN formally extended an invitation to the Senate President for the upcoming international ladies golf tournament scheduled to take place at the IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja.
In recognition of his leadership, LGAN National President Dr. Lima Ahmed officially decorated Akpabio as the Grand Patron of the association, with the Senate President assuring the organization of the National Assembly’s legislative backing for sports development.
