President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Caucus meeting at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

This marks the first caucus meeting of the ruling party since Tinubu assumed office on May 29, 2023. The meeting precedes the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) session, scheduled to hold on Wednesday at the APC secretariat in Wuse 2, Abuja.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Prominent party chieftains in attendance include Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje.

Ganduje was joined by nine other members of the National Working Committee (NWC), including the deputy national chairmen (North and South), national secretary, legal adviser, treasurer, organising secretary, women leader, youth leader, and leader of persons living with disabilities.

APC governors, led by Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodimma, are also present. Other governors at the meeting include Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu, and Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, among others.

South-South leaders of the ruling party, led by former Bayelsa State Governor Timipre Sylva, are also in attendance.

Notable northern politicians at the meeting include Senator Abdulaziz Yari, former Nasarawa State Governor Tanko Al-Makura, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, Niger State Governor Umar Bago, and Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Abubakar Bagudu.

Representatives from the South-West include pioneer APC National Chairman Bisi Akande, former Ogun State Governor Olusegun Osoba, ex-APC National Secretary Iyiola Omisore, and Senator Lola Ashiru, among others.
