Tinubu noted that Eid-el-Kabir symbolises sacrifice for a greater purpose and called on Nigerians to show love and mercy to one another regardless of ethnic, religious or political differences.
According to him, the celebration comes at a time Nigeria is undergoing what he described as a journey of reconstruction and renewal through ongoing economic reforms.
The President admitted that the reforms introduced by his administration have been difficult but insisted they were necessary to reposition the country for long-term prosperity.
He expressed optimism that the measures taken over the past three years were already yielding positive results, including economic stability, increased investor confidence, job creation and improved opportunities for citizens.
“The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here,” Tinubu stated.

Speaking on insecurity, the President acknowledged that terrorists and bandits were still carrying out attacks in some communities despite efforts by security agencies.
He, however, assured Nigerians that the government remained committed to defeating criminal elements across the country.
“I assure you: you are neither abandoned nor forgotten. We will ultimately defeat all the forces of evil,” he said.
Tinubu also commended the efforts of security and intelligence agencies, referencing the recent elimination of a wanted ISIS leader.
The President urged Muslims to use the Eid celebration to pray for peace, national unity and wisdom for leaders, while also encouraging Nigerians to support the less privileged and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in security, infrastructure, agriculture and human capital development to improve the lives of citizens.
Tinubu concluded by wishing Muslims a peaceful and joyful Eid-el-Kabir celebration, praying that Allah accepts their sacrifices and prayers.
