Tinubu Departs Abuja, Heads To Lagos For Eid-El-Fitr Celebration
Eko Hot Blog reports that President Bola Tinubu will be in his home state Lagos for the celebration of Muslim festival of the Eid-El-Fitr marking the end of Ramadan month.
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity revealed this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.

According to the statement, President Tinubu is set to depart Abuja to celebrate the Eid-El-Fitr festival in Lagos with members of his family.
The festival is expected to hold on Tuesday or Wednesday next week depending on Lunar calendar heralding the new Islamic month of Shawwal.
”In deference to the solemn occasion, which marks the end of Ramadan, the President will observe the moment in prayers for Nigeria and with family,” Ngelale said.
The Presidential spokesman added that Tinubu would continue official duties during and after the Eid-el-Fitr holidays.
LAWMA Cracks Down On Illegal Cart Pushers In FESTAC Town
Meanwhile, the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has launched a crackdown on illegal cart pushers in FESTAC Town, Amuwo Odofin in a move to tackle environmental pollution and safeguard public health,
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Lagos State, LAWMA’s monitoring and enforcement team carried out the operation in the early morning hours.
The team targeted cart pushers who collect refuse and waste from residents and market traders in the area, only to dump it illegally by the roadside, walkway, and median, leading to environmental pollution and potential harm to human health.

During the operation, two obstinate cart pushers were apprehended, and a total of 30 carts were seized by the LAWMA team.
