The Executive Director of the PFN, Jacob Tsado, announced plans to establish a new training center in Abuja to further rehabilitate and equip inmates. He described the program as a “movement that restores dignity” and gives inmates the confidence to start over.
In a statement delivered on his behalf by Professor Chioma Agomo, the Chairman of the PFN’s Board of Trustees, Olayide Adelami, who is also the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, said that initiatives like this provide hope and reduce the likelihood of reoffending.
Speakers at the ceremony urged the graduates to embrace their new skills and a life free of crime. Suliat Ojikutu, a Senior State Counsel with the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, encouraged the graduates to view the program as a call to desist from crime and become better versions of themselves.

In his remarks, the Comptroller of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Daramola George, thanked the partners for the program, which he said aligns with the agency’s core values.
The graduates received certificates, working tools, and cash prizes, with an exhibition of items they produced during the training.
