In his official address, Tinubu stated that his government remains fully committed to practical results that change lives.
He emphasized that governance must deliver tangible, visible physical benefits rather than empty political statements.
The President firmly rejected the idea of quick administrative fixes during his speech.
He noted that the administration never promised shortcuts to success when taking office. Instead, they promised a renewed hope that citizens can see, feel, and drive on.
Tinubu explained that building roads does far more than just lay asphalt.
It serves as the primary artery of economic growth. He noted that infrastructure unlocks a city’s potential, generates jobs, and eases daily struggles for corporate workers and market women.

This newly commissioned phase marks a major continuation of the expressway project. The federal government previously opened the first stage from the Villa Roundabout in June 2024.
They followed that by opening a 15-kilometer service lane in 2025. President Tinubu highly praised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for his performance-driven leadership.
He commended Wike for keeping construction firms accountable and ensuring project delivery happened strictly on schedule.
Earlier, Minister Wike explained that the project was awarded to the construction firm CGC late last year. He personally conducted several surprise site inspections to guarantee the firm met its tight timeline.
Wike emphasized that good leadership relies on the continuity of projects. He revealed that at least 80 percent of the projects completed since 2023 were originally initiated by past governments.
Furthermore, Wike announced that the administration has provided a fully structured alternative site with access roads and water for traders relocated from Apo Mechanic Village.
He concluded by promising that infrastructure expansion will quickly stretch beyond the city center into satellite towns like Kwali, Karu, and Kubwa.
