Tinubu Nominates Justice Buba, Two Others For CCB Board
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated three individuals to fill vacancies on the board of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the nominations aim to strengthen the Bureau’s oversight functions.

The nominees, listed in a letter sent to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, include Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle from Oyo State, Kennedy Ikpeme from Cross River, and Justice Ibrahim Buba, a retired Federal High Court judge.
The Code of Conduct Bureau, established in 1979, is responsible for promoting integrity in public service and ensuring adherence to ethical standards. The board, comprising 10 members, oversees its operations.

On October 23, 2024, President Tinubu inaugurated Dr. Abdullahi Usman Bello as the board’s chairman. Current board members include Barr. Muritala Aliyu Kankia, Hon. E. J. Agbomayinma, Barr. Ben Umeano, Prof. Juwayriyya Badamasiuy, Mr. Bulus I. Zephaniah, and Hon. Abdulsalam Taofiq Olawale.
