President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced that Nigeria is witnessing strong growth in foreign direct and portfolio investments, especially within the oil and gas sector, as his administration’s reforms continue to take root.
Highlighting key gains under the Renewed Hope Agenda, Eko Hot Blog reports that the President said inflation has eased for seven consecutive months to 16.05 per cent in October, the exchange rate has stabilised, and foreign reserves have risen to over $46 billion, up from the $32 billion and the $4 billion net reserve inherited in 2023.

Tinubu noted that investor confidence is rebounding, driven by rising investments in oil and gas, a vibrant stock market, and broader economic diversification fuelled by solid minerals.
He added that the government’s liberalised student loan scheme has already enrolled over 700,000 beneficiaries, while passport processing timelines have been reduced nationwide to under one week.
These achievements were listed in a statement announcing the appointment of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as the new Renewed Hope Ambassador, ahead of the national rollout of the Federal Government’s Ward Development Programme.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Uzodimma will also serve as the Director-General for Party Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation, with immediate effect.
Under his new mandate, the Imo governor who chairs the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) will collaborate with APC leadership and governors nationwide to promote the administration’s programmes and achievements. He is expected to drive harmony, inclusiveness, strategic coordination, and grassroots mobilisation across party structures.
Tinubu said APC governors will also serve as “Ambassadors of Hope,” working with Uzodimma to ensure Nigerians understand and appreciate the administration’s progress since May 2023.
