Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on Sunday received candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Lagos State House of Assembly, reaffirming the party’s commitment to progressive leadership and grassroots development.
Eko Hot Blog reports that among the candidates received by the President was Abiodun Mustainu Tobun, who recently emerged as the APC flag bearer for Epe Constituency I ahead of the next general election.
The meeting provided an opportunity for interaction between the President and the party’s House of Assembly candidates, while reinforcing the APC’s vision for continued development, effective representation, and good governance across Lagos State.
Tobun’s presence at the gathering further highlighted his standing within the party and his continued role in advancing the interests of the people of Epe Constituency I.
Political stakeholders and supporters described the engagement as a significant moment, noting that Tobun’s emergence as the party’s candidate reflects the confidence reposed in him by APC members and constituents following his years of legislative service and community development initiatives.
The lawmaker has remained a prominent voice in Epe politics, championing programmes and interventions aimed at improving infrastructure, education, youth empowerment, and community welfare across the constituency.
Supporters expressed optimism that his experience, dedication, and understanding of the needs of the people would further strengthen representation for Epe Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The meeting ended with renewed calls for party unity, grassroots mobilization, and support for the APC’s developmental agenda in Lagos State and across the country.
