The Nigerian Guild of Editors has postponed its 2025 All Nigeria Editors Conference to November 12 and 13, 2025.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Guild stated that President Bola Tinubu had confirmed his availability to declare the conference open as the Special Guest of Honour in Abuja.

The NGE is the professional body representing Managing Directors, Directors of News, and Editors from print, broadcast, online, and news agency organisations across Nigeria.
In a statement jointly signed by its President, Eze Anaba, and General Secretary, Onuoha Ukeh, the Guild explained that the postponement was due to circumstances beyond its control.

According to the statement, the conference will gather over 500 editors and media executives in Abuja to explore ways of promoting national unity and development through responsible journalism.
The organisation apologised to members, guests, and the public for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling.
It is assured that Abuja remains the venue and that the conference will serve as a credible platform to address key issues affecting national cohesion and growth.
The conference, themed “Democratic Governance and National Cohesion: The Role of Editors,” the conference will feature a sub-theme titled “Electoral Integrity and Trust Deficit: What Nigerians Expect in 2027.”

Prominent speakers, including Prof. Awa Kalu (SAN), Prof. Sheriff Ghali Ibrahim, Prof. Abiodun Adeniyi, and Gen. Lucky Irabor (retd.), will deliver papers on governance, media ethics, and national security.
The Guild added that an executive session will close the event, bringing editors together with policymakers and business leaders to discuss national challenges and reforms.
