“I will send you to the other side to represent me, and then you can scatter them any way you want. They’re confused,” the President said in a light-hearted moment during his speech.
He concluded his address with a prayer for the country, saying, “God bless Nigeria, God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the tax collectors.”
Meanwhile, in his remarks at the event, Akpabio raised concerns over the recent rise in insecurity across the country, suggesting it may be linked to political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He also addressed reactions to an alleged social media post attributed to a former official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), noting that political interpretations often fuel unnecessary controversy.
According to Akpabio, Nigeria’s political landscape is becoming increasingly unstable, with parties struggling to maintain strong structures ahead of future elections.
The exchange between both leaders added a mix of humour and political commentary to the high-profile event, which focused primarily on fiscal reforms and institutional development.
