She argued that successful grassroots mandates were being actively intercepted to satisfy structural factional interests within the ruling party.
The core of the dispute centers on the primary list published for legislative tickets ahead of the 2027 general elections, which cleared 24 candidates for the House of Representatives and 40 for the Lagos State House of Assembly.
While several candidates were declared victorious across numerous state constituencies, Tinubu-Ojo asserted that the specific ballots for Mushin Federal Constituency 2, Agege Constituency 2, and Ojokoro had been manipulated.
She vocally defended the grassroots victories of Hon. Seye Oladejo (Mushin 2), Mutiu Olaide Oladeebo (Agege 2), and Olotu Ojo (Ojokoro), insisting that their political mandates must be protected and not handed over to other individuals.
The Iyaloja-General leveled sharp criticisms against the growing polarization within the state party infrastructure, noting that a massive rush of politicians dumping the Mandate Group to align with the Justice Forum is destabilizing internal equity.
She linked this development to the belief that the incoming governor will emerge from the Justice Forum, adding that it is deeply saddening when hard work in politics is bypassed through administrative manipulation.
She warned that even if Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat secures the executive seat, he must govern all of Lagos and maintain institutional balance rather than excluding dedicated party faithful.
While reaffirming the absolute commitment of Lagos market women to support the broader ambitions of the APC and its frontline candidates, Tinubu-Ojo stressed that the trading community represents an indispensable voting demographic that refuses to be sidelined in governance or subsequent political appointments.
She concluded by warning that leaving these internal grievances unaddressed would profoundly damage party unity going into the next general election cycle.
She demanded a swift, transparent audit from the party’s highest tiers of leadership to restore full confidence among critical stakeholders and grassroots organizers.
