26. Surah Animashaun Wins Epe LG Chairmanship Election with 34,819 Votes

Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared winner of the Epe Local Government Chairmanship election, after securing a commanding lead in a three-party race.

Ekohotblog reports that announcing the result at the Epe Collation Centre on Saturday, the Returning Officer, Professor Habeeb Sanni, confirmed that Animashaun polled 34,819 votes, while the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) candidates scored 1,535 and 675 votes respectively.

“It was a transparent, peaceful, and credible process,” said Professor Sanni. “The results reflect the will of the electorate in Epe Local Government.”

27. Anomo Re-Elected as LASIEC Declares APC Winner in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has declared Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Chairmanship election after an uncontested race that saw him secure 18,508 votes.

Ekohotblog gathers that the announcement was made late Saturday evening by LASIEC returning officers at the Ikosi-Ejinrin Collation Centre, marking a historic moment for the council.

Anomo, who ran unopposed, recorded what observers described as a landslide victory, with voter turnout and support surpassing expectations across all six wards.

His return to office for a second term also confirms the re-election of his Vice Chairmanship running mate, Alhaji Wasiu Oluwole Dehinsilu. Both candidates had received strong endorsements ahead of the election, including a symbolic gesture by the six traditional rulers in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA who jointly purchased their nomination forms.

28. Eredo LCDA Decide: APC’s Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye Wins by Landslide

Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has clinched a landslide victory in the just concluded Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) chairmanship election, polling a total of 25,017 votes against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate who managed only 424 votes.

Ekohotblog reports that the election, conducted on Saturday, July 12, 2025, by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), was marked by peaceful voting and a significant voter turnout across the LCDA’s major communities.

In his post-election remarks, Hon. Akinloye thanked the people of Eredo for their trust and support.

“This victory belongs to the people. It is a mandate for continuity, development, and inclusive governance,” he said.

Party loyalists and community stakeholders gathered to celebrate the massive win, which many described as a validation of Hon. Akinloye’s performance during his previous tenure.

Residents in wards such as Poka, Noforija, Odomola, Ilara, and Ibowon came out in large numbers to cast their votes, expressing confidence in the APC-led administration.
