The route will also pass through Babajide Sanwo-Olu Road to Agbotikuyo, connect the Old Ipaja Motor Road and terminate at the Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area.
The agency disclosed that vehicular movement along the affected corridors will be temporarily restricted to allow for the smooth conduct of the event. Motorists were advised to plan ahead and use alternative routes during the period.
According to LASTMA, motorists approaching from Wemco Road are advised to divert through Ogba, proceed towards Excellent Hotel and connect College Road to Iju Road.
Those coming from the Pen Cinema axis are encouraged to use Moshalashi Alhaja Road, link Mobil Ashade and continue their journeys from there.
The mini-marathon, tagged “Run for Asiwaju 2027,” is being organised by the Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area under the leadership of its chairman, Mr Dipo Liadi.

Organisers said the event is aimed at promoting unity, discovering sporting talent and mobilising grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration ahead of the next general elections.
Participants are expected from a wide range of categories, including youths, professionals, senior citizens, persons living with disabilities, VIPs and representatives of the Hausa and Igbo communities, to ensure inclusiveness.
Organisers also disclosed that cash prizes worth N2.3 million will be awarded. The first 200 finishers will receive N10,000 each, while seven top athletes will earn N50,000 apiece.
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, a major supporter of the event, has announced his intention to participate in the VIP category, describing the marathon as a reflection of President Tinubu’s transformational leadership.
LASTMA urged road users to cooperate with traffic officials on duty and make adequate travel arrangements to minimise inconvenience during the event.
