Following this, Trump ordered roughly 4,000 National Guard troops and 700 Marines to Los Angeles.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has temporarily halted a federal judge’s order requiring former President Donald Trump to relinquish control of National Guard troops to California. The judge had previously ruled that the Guard’s deployment was unlawful, violating the Tenth Amendment and exceeding Trump’s legal authority.
