EKO HOT BLOG reports Tunisia’s coach, Jalel Kadri, has officially stepped down from his position after the team’s disappointing exit from the Africa Cup of Nations, marking another departure in a series of coaching changes during the tournament.
The decision comes after Tunisia’s goalless draw with South Africa, sealing their elimination from the AFCON and falling short of the semi-final objective set in Kadri’s contract.
Tunisia’s AFCON campaign lacked success, finishing last in Group E without a single victory, a stark contrast to their performance just over a year ago when they defeated France 1-0 at the World Cup in Qatar.
Hamza Rafia’s goal in the 1-1 draw with Mali marked Tunisia’s only goal in the tournament, ending their centenary goal count in the competition.
