EKO HOT BLOG reports that the incident reportedly occurred at the FCT chapter secretariat of the party, where stakeholders, including FCT Senator Ireti Kingibe, had gathered for the distribution of election materials and briefing on the conduct of the primary election.
The Chairman of the election committee, Abubakar Adams Chika, alongside the committee secretary, David Godwin, had convened the meeting to explain procedures for the exercise before the situation escalated.
According to reports, the meeting was disrupted after one Tijani Mubarak and four others allegedly stormed the venue carrying sticks and interrupted proceedings.
Witnesses said Tijani confronted the committee chairman over the alleged refusal to honour an invitation for a private discussion, leading to a heated argument that was later captured in a video circulating online.
Sources within the party claimed that the disruption was linked to opposition against the emergence of Senator Ireti Kingibe as the ADC candidate for the FCT senatorial election.
Despite the disruption, Kingibe was eventually declared winner of the party’s senatorial primary election.
The incident created tension among party members and temporarily halted activities at the secretariat before calm was later restored.

As of the time of filing this report, the ADC leadership had not issued an official statement regarding the violence or possible disciplinary measures against those involved.
