Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in London early Monday morning alongside the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, in the wake of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s passing.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the visit was made on the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, comes after the former leader died in London following a prolonged illness.

On arrival, the Vice President was received by Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum.

Vice President Shettima is expected to accompany the late President’s remains back to Nigeria, where he will be laid to rest in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.
