According to LASTMA, officers on routine traffic monitoring patrol quickly responded to the emergency, securing the victim from further danger and evacuating her from the roadway.
The traffic officials also alerted the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) and managed vehicular movement around the scene to prevent secondary accidents and ensure the free flow of traffic.

The victim, who reportedly suffered fractures to her arm and leg, was later transported by LASAMBUS officials to General Hospital Odan for urgent medical treatment and further evaluation.
Reacting to the incident, LASTMA General Manager, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, condemned the increasing rate of hit-and-run incidents, describing such actions as both unlawful and morally reprehensible.
He stressed the need for motorists to act responsibly and remain at accident scenes to assist victims and cooperate with emergency responders whenever crashes occur.
