2023: See Date For Crucial PDP Governors Meeting In Port Harcourt
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum will hold a Special Meeting on Monday 17th January 2022 at the Rivers State Government House, Port Harcourt, Southsouth Nigeria.
According to Cyril Maduabum, the Director-General of the forum, the meeting will review the state of the nation and readiness of the PDP to provide the necessary leadership ‘to rescue and rebuild Nigeria’.
He said all PDP Governors are expected to attend the meeting. The meeting will be presided over by the Chairman of the forum, and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal.
Maduabum added that the meeting will be preceded by a Gala night to be hosted by the Chief Host, Governor Nyesom Wike.

Furthermore, he disclosed that the PDP governors are working in consultations with other leaders of the party and in particular the Senator Iyorchia Ayu-led National Executive Committee (NEC) of the PDP to conceptualise a credible process and programme ‘for Nigeria’s positive rebirth’.
The PDP is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria, along with its main rival, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It won every presidential election between 1999 and 2011 and was, until the 2015 elections, the governing party in the Fourth Republic, although sometimes amid a few controversial electoral circumstances.
