The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, has joined the global community in celebrating World Teachers’ Day 2025, describing teachers as “the silent achievers, the unseen builders of dreams, and the torchbearers of enlightenment whose dedication fuels the progress of nations.”
Eko Hot Blog reports that in her goodwill message, Princess Surah emphasized that every visionary leader and innovator stands on the foundation laid by teachers, acknowledging their invaluable role in moulding character, nurturing ambition, and driving societal transformation.
This year’s celebration, themed “Recasting Teaching as a Collaborative Profession,” she noted, highlights the need for stronger partnerships, shared growth, and collective excellence in the teaching profession.

“At Epe Local Government, we recognize that no nation can rise above the quality of its teachers. That is why my administration remains steadfast in ensuring that educators are valued, supported, and celebrated,” she said.
Princess Surah reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to strengthening the teaching profession through strategic investments, improved welfare, and inclusive policies that give teachers a stronger voice and platform.
“As we mark this remarkable day, I salute every teacher across Epe, Lagos State, and Nigeria at large for your resilience, patience, and unyielding commitment to shaping lives and building a sustainable future,” she added.
