The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Education District VI, Mrs. Mojisola Yusuf, has reaffirmed the district’s unwavering commitment to innovation, continuous teacher development, and digital transformation to improve learning outcomes across schools under her supervision.
Eko Hot Blog reports that speaking during an interview in Lagos on Tuesday, Yusuf emphasized that the district is determined to build a 21st-century education system that aligns with global best practices.

She revealed that a total of 106 schools fall under Education District VI, covering the Ikeja, Mushin, and Oshodi districts, adding that the district has consistently prioritized teacher capacity building through training, workshops, and technology-driven instructional methods.

According to her, the Lagos State Government under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has shown tremendous dedication to transforming the education sector through digital integration, infrastructure upgrades, and improved welfare for teachers.
“The vision of Education District VI is to produce well-rounded learners equipped with knowledge, skills, and character needed to thrive in a competitive and digital world,” she said.
Yusuf noted that mentorship and peer-learning programmes have been introduced among teachers to foster innovation and collaboration, leading to improved teaching standards and better academic outcomes in recent examinations.
She added that the district is working closely with technology partners to expand digital literacy and ensure access to modern learning tools across all schools.
While commending teachers, school administrators, and students for their dedication to excellence, Yusuf applauded Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration for its unrelenting support toward educational advancement in Lagos State.
“I am optimistic that government will continue to provide the enabling environment for education to thrive in Lagos State.
This present administration’s commitment towards the education sector is commendable and encouraging,” she said.
