The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has announced that social media personalities Martins Otse, aka Verydarkman, and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, known as Mr Jollof, will face sanctions following a physical altercation on an Asaba-Lagos flight on Monday.(VIDEO)

The NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection emphasised, “There is no tolerance for unruly behaviour aboard an aircraft. Both individuals will face the full strength of the law.”

The spokesperson further criticised the influencers for failing to uphold the responsibility that comes with guiding millions of followers on proper conduct.
“The airline should report such incidents to the NCAA so legal action can be taken,” the statement added. “Their actions endangered passengers, crew, and the aircraft itself.”
Highlighting the regulator’s long-standing efforts to educate travellers, he said, “We have invested heavily in informing passengers about the dangers of misconduct on flights. No reason justifies this behaviour.”
