Hon Abike Dabiri Erewa Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission NIDCOM has commended Adaora Akojume of Beta Agric Ventures for emerging as the number one pitcher and securing a 250 million naira investment offer at the just concluded eighth Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the event was organised by NIDCOM in collaboration with the Nigeria Diaspora Summit Initiative and held from 11 November to 13 November 2025 at the State House Conference Centre Abuja.

The NIDCOM Chairman described the summit as a testament to the power of the Nigerian Diaspora in driving economic development and shared prosperity for national growth.
She noted that the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit has consistently shown how Nigerians abroad and those at home can collaborate to create jobs stimulate investment ideas encourage innovation and strengthen trust.
A major highlight of the summit was the pitching session focused on agribusiness with emphasis on innovative agri value chains food security and export models. The agribusiness session moderated by Dr Moji Davids of Xtralarge Farms and Luxury Resorts took a remarkable turn when Adaora Akojume of Beta Agric Ventures appeared on stage.

Her structured and innovative pitch captivated investors and culminated in a 250 million naira investment offer from Christopher Obode based in New Jersey United States. Dr Moji praised Adaora describing agripreneurs as the lifeline of the economy and stressing the need to prioritise food security.
Clearly excited Adaora who showcased her tomato paste model product received further interest from investors who pledged to adopt her product as a test item at major local and international summits.
The Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit has built a reputation for delivering actionable investment outcomes practical business partnerships and match making ventures rather than rhetorical sessions.
Participants, investors and sponsors have continued to report evidence based results that support economic empowerment and shared prosperity.
This year’s summit attracted over fifty pitchers more than fifteen sponsors and exhibitors about nine hundred physical participants and over two thousand virtual participants across the world.
