The Abia State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commended President Bola Tinubu for nominating former Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, as a non-career ambassador.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement signed by its chairman, Amah Abraham, on behalf of the State Working Committee (SWC), the party described the nomination as well deserved and a testament to Ikpeazu’s proven leadership qualities.

According to the Abia PDP, President Tinubu’s decision reflects recognition of Ikpeazu’s years of dedicated service, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to peace, progress, and national development.
“This appointment is a clear recognition of Dr. Ikpeazu’s years of dedicated service, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to the peace, progress, and development of Abia State and Nigeria at large. As a party, we take pride in his accomplishments and steadfast devotion to public service,” Abraham stated.
The party noted that the nomination underscores the value of competence, experience, and inclusive governance in building a stronger and more united Nigeria.
