The Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, in Imo State, has suspended Mr. Okoroafor Ifeanyichukwu, a facilitator at the Technical and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (TEDC), after a viral video showed him physically assaulting a male student.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the suspension was confirmed in a letter dated March 14, 2025, with reference number FPN/TEDC/80/1. Signed by TEDC Director Dr. Okoye P.C., the letter stated that Okoroafor would remain suspended pending an investigation into the incident, which occurred on March 13 at the site of his entrepreneurship training.
Copies of the letter were also sent to the Rector, Dean of Student Affairs, and the Student Union Government.
The widely circulated video captured Okoroafor slapping a student, identified as Chidera, before kicking him onto a cemented walkway, damaging his phone. The footage sparked outrage online, prompting calls for disciplinary action.
