EKO HOT BLOG reports that the suspension, which takes immediate effect, was announced during the Assembly’s plenary session on Tuesday.
It follows a petition submitted by 11 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Saki East, accusing Adedokun of consistently disregarding directives from Governor Seyi Makinde since assuming office.
In response, the Assembly appointed the council’s Vice Chairman, Razaq Adeyemi, as the Acting Chairman. Additionally, the Secretary of the council has been directed to assume the role of Acting Vice Chairman until the Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters concludes its investigation.

Lawmakers emphasized that Adedokun’s suspension would remain in effect until further notice.
