The Kogi State Government has issued a stern warning to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, accusing her of endangering public safety by proceeding with her homecoming rally in defiance of the state’s recent ban on rallies and gatherings, Eko Hot Blog reports.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Kingsley Fanwo, the state’s Commissioner for Information, emphasized the government’s stance that the senator will be held accountable for any violence that may arise as a result of her actions.

“She should be held accountable for her blatant attempts to incite violence and cause unnecessary tension,” Fanwo said.
The commissioner also said the female lawmaker allegedly has “plans to use her visit to stir trouble and violence in Kogi Central Senatorial District”.
“She deliberately violated the State Government’s ban on political gatherings, which was put in place to prevent security breaches and maintain peace.
“Instead of respecting the law, she chose to incite chaos, disregarding the safety and stability of the state.”
