EKO HOT BLOG reports that at a press briefing held in Kaduna on Wednesday, the league’s National Coordinator, Comrade Aliyu Suleiman, said the so-called coalition had no roots in the APC at any level — ward, local government, state, or national.
“This so-called coalition has never contributed to the party’s activities, never mobilized a voter, and has no record of grassroots engagement. Its only function is to exploit Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu’s reputation for personal gain,” Suleiman stated.
The youth group reaffirmed its loyalty to Senator Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, describing him as “an invaluable asset to the APC, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the people of Kebbi State and the North West region.”
Suleiman noted that Bagudu’s leadership had strengthened party structures, promoted unity, and supported policies that have improved communities across the zone.
“Senator Bagudu has consistently prioritized governance, youth development, and inclusive progress. He is approachable, dedicated, and focused on advancing policies that improve citizens’ lives. His experience and vision remain indispensable to the APC and the current administration,” he said.
The APC Youth League also condemned the coalition’s recent remarks against Bagudu, labelling them as “baseless, divisive, and politically motivated.” Suleiman accused the group of being driven by “desperation and self-interest aimed at disrupting the unity of the party.”
He urged APC members and supporters to remain steadfast behind Governor Nasir Idris and Minister Bagudu, stressing that unity and cooperation were essential to sustaining the party’s progress in Kebbi and the North West.
“The APC has recorded significant achievements in governance, infrastructure, and youth empowerment due to the commitment of Senator Bagudu and other dedicated leaders. Members must focus on consolidating these gains rather than entertaining unfounded distractions,” he added.

The league vowed to continue supporting Senator Bagudu’s efforts in strengthening the APC, advancing federal policies, and promoting the welfare of citizens in Kebbi State and beyond.
