EKO HOT BLOG reports that Trump on Friday launched another round of verbal attacks, saying Musk had “lost his mind,” a day after their once-surprising political alliance collapsed publicly. Speaking to ABC News by phone, Trump said he had no interest in contacting the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, mocking him as “crazy” and “not particularly interesting.”
Their rift deepened after Musk criticized Trump’s proposed budget bill, calling it an “abomination,” prompting Trump to threaten to cut off the entrepreneur’s lucrative government contracts. In response, Musk escalated the row by reviving a conspiracy theory, suggesting—without evidence—that Trump may be linked to documents involving disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Amid swirling speculation of a Friday phone call to repair the damage, a senior White House official told AFP there were no such plans. “The president does not intend to speak to Musk today,” the source confirmed.
The fallout has already sparked economic and political waves. Shares in Tesla fluctuated following the public spat, while Musk reportedly threatened to pull SpaceX out of a key U.S. government space program.
The White House convened a special meeting on Thursday to manage the situation, as Trump reportedly considered selling or giving away a Tesla vehicle he had purchased to support Musk at the peak of their camaraderie. The red Tesla, once featured at a promotional event inside the White House, remains parked on the grounds.

The speed and intensity of the breakup stunned political observers, though tensions had been brewing between the two outspoken figures for months. Their alliance had once been seen as a bold partnership between politics and tech, but it has now devolved into a high-profile public feud.
