The exchange rate between the US Dollar and Nigerian Naira remained high at the parallel market as of Monday, June 16, 2025. According to Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in Lagos, the dollar was bought at ₦1579 and sold at ₦1586, reflecting ongoing volatility in the foreign exchange market.

Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) maintains a different exchange rate and does not recognize the parallel market. The CBN advises all forex transactions to be conducted through authorized financial institutions.
As of today, CBN rates are listed between ₦1537 (lowest) and ₦1570 (highest).
