As the countdown to the Lagos State Local Government elections continues, key political stakeholders in Ikorodu Division have lauded the sustained efforts of Rep. Babajimi Benson, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, for his focus on infrastructure development, social welfare, and youth empowerment.
Ekohotblog reports that during a recent welfare outreach held in the division, Prof. R.I. Jinadu described Rep. Benson as “a model of responsive leadership,” noting that his commitment to community development has gone beyond promises and has consistently yielded tangible results.

“Rep. Benson has raised the bar for what representation should look like,proactive, people-centered, and performance-driven,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr. Sesan Daini, emphasized the need for voter awareness and active participation as the council elections approach.
“Political apathy is dangerous,” Daini warned. “If we don’t engage the process, we risk surrendering our future to unqualified leadership. We must all come out and vote.”
Reinforcing the call for accountability in leadership, APC chieftain Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani reminded aspirants that public office should be seen as a duty rather than a reward.
“Leadership is not for self-aggrandizement. It’s a responsibility to serve, and we must hold our leaders to that standard,” he asserted.

Otunba Tijani also announced a mega campaign rally scheduled to kick off the following Monday. The rally, he said, is aimed at energizing the party’s base and educating voters about the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s development vision across the Ikorodu division.
“This rally will not just be about noise and celebration,it’s about strategy, vision, and enlightenment. We are going to the people with facts, plans, and a record of delivery,” he said.
