EKO HOT BLOG reports that the 27-year-old Swedish forward has already reached a personal agreement with the Premier League club, but Arsenal is yet to finalise the deal with Sporting Lisbon.
Reports indicate that Gyokeres is eager to leave the Portuguese league for the Premier League, and both clubs are expected to reach an agreement in the coming days.
Sources say Gyokeres, in a desperate push for the transfer, had even threatened to go on strike if Sporting refused to sanction his move this summer.
Currently, the main issue delaying the deal is the negotiation between Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon over the financial structure. Sporting are demanding at least £70 million for Gyokeres, with £60 million to be paid upfront, while Arsenal are pushing for a lower fee.
Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, quoting Record, confirmed that Arsenal faces no challenges on the player’s side, as Gyokeres is fully committed to joining the North London club.
“Viktor Gyökeres has agreed to give up €2 million from his salary to facilitate negotiations between Arsenal and Sporting,” Romano wrote on 𝕏.
He added that Sporting remain firm on their valuation, while Gyokeres is actively doing his part to push the deal forward.

Gyokeres’ willingness to accept a pay cut underlines his determination to join Arsenal ahead of the new season.
