As part of the activities marking the 2025 Kayokayo Festival in Epe, the First Oke-Balogun Central Mosque played host to a life-changing medical outreach and special prayer session on Sunday, July 20, 2025.
Ekohotblog reports that the initiative, which drew hundreds of residents from within and outside Epe, was organized to cater to the physical and spiritual well-being of the people.

Over 400 individuals benefited from free medical tests, including blood pressure, malaria, and blood sugar screenings, as well as consultations and medications, all at no cost.
Speaking at the event, Barrister Bayo Okulu , a prominent community leader and Coordinator the Kayokayo Festival Planning Committee, emphasized the significance of combining both health and prayers in community development.
“Everything that is good needs prayers, just as much as the bad. When we pray for the good, it becomes better, and when we pray over challenges, they are transformed.”
Barrister Okulu further stressed the importance of the outreach, noting that community welfare remains a core concern of the festival’s leadership.
“Kayokayo is not just about cultural celebration; it’s about touching lives, giving back, and uplifting our people. We must ensure that the health and prosperity of our people are given the attention they deserve.”
The league of Imam and Alfas Oke-Balogun Central Mosque, led the special prayers for peace, growth, and continued unity in Epe land, while also offering supplications for the well-being of those who attended the outreach.
The event was graced by religious leaders, traditional chiefs, youth groups, and health professionals who volunteered their services to the community.
Many of the beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful.
