In a powerful gesture of compassion and commitment to education, Olori Arike Adebowale, the Olori Omola of Odomola Kingdom, empowered several pupils with complete school kits during the 2025 Edition of the Royal Banquet held at St. John’s Primary School, Odomola.
Ekohotblog reports that the items distributed included new school uniforms, sandals, socks, school bags, notebooks, writing materials, and other essential academic tools,a deliberate act aimed at supporting less privileged pupils and encouraging inclusive education.

Addressing the gathering, Olori Arike said,
“No child should be left behind because of poverty. Every pupil deserves to walk confidently into the classroom, fully equipped and ready to learn.”
She added, “This is not just about school materials. It’s about restoring dignity, confidence, and hope to our children.”
The event, which drew the presence of royal chiefs, members of the G10 NGO, the First Lady of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Olabo, Hon. Saico, and other dignitaries, was filled with excitement and gratitude.
The First Lady of Eredo LCDA, Mrs Christiana Akinloye,commended Olori Arike for the kind gesture, stating,
“This is a noble act. These children will never forget this moment. May others in society emulate this spirit of giving.”
she also promised to be part of the celebration next in collaboration with the queen.
Hon. Ismail Olabo praised the empowerment initiative and advised the pupils to remain focused on their studies.
“Take advantage of these materials and let them inspire you to study harder,” he said.
Representatives from the G10 Club also lauded the Olori’s efforts and expressed their readiness to partner on similar projects.
“This is true community development. We stand with the Olori in this noble cause,” a member said.
Hon. Saico, Education Secretary of Epe Local Government, described the initiative as timely and impactful.
“This is how we build a better future,by investing in our children today,” he stated.
The Royal Banquet was more than a cultural celebration,it became a beacon of hope, empowerment, and educational upliftment for many families in Odomola.
