It was a remarkable moment for girl-child empowerment on Thursday as the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, joined dignitaries across Lagos State at the official launch of the “RHI Flow with Confidence” disposable sanitary pads for schoolgirls.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the project, a flagship of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) led by the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, was hosted by the Wife of the Governor of Lagos State and State Coordinator of RHI, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu.
The initiative is designed to improve access to menstrual hygiene products, reduce absenteeism among female students, and boost their confidence and dignity.

Hon. Surah Animashaun, in her goodwill remarks, hailed Senator Tinubu as “a true mother of the nation whose compassion and foresight continue to birth life-changing initiatives for women, children, and the less privileged.”
She described the project as more than a sanitary pad distribution drive, noting its deeper significance.
“The ‘Flow with Confidence’ project is not just about sanitary pads; it is a message of dignity, hope, and empowerment for the girl-child,” she said.
The Epe council boss further reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to the welfare of women and children, pledging to support similar initiatives that align with the Renewed Hope vision.
She also commended Dr. Sanwo-Olu for her dedication to the cause in Lagos State.
The event drew a wide audience of stakeholders, education advocates, and government officials, all united in the mission to empower young girls and safeguard their health and future.
