In a profound show of empathy and responsible leadership, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman, Idowu Ogunsemowo, at their residence in Ketu-Ereyun.
Ekohotblog reports that until his passing, Mr. Ogunsemowo was a highly respected grassroots mobilizer and a prominent figure in community development within the LCDA.

“Idowu Ogunsemowo was a quintessential community leader whose life epitomized grassroots development, peacebuilding, and unwavering dedication to the well-being of his people,” Otunba Anomo said. “His leadership across various CDAs remains a legacy that will not be forgotten.”
The Chairman was accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Jayesimi Ibraheem; former APC LGA Chairman, Alh. Wasiu Bakare; and Councillor-elect for Ward Q1, Hon. Oluwo Martins Oriyomi.
While consoling the bereaved family, Otunba Anomo prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed and encouraged the family to remain strong in this time of loss.
“I pray that Almighty God grants the family the strength to bear this painful loss. Mr. Ogunsemowo’s memory will live on in the hearts of those he served and inspired.”
In a compassionate and proactive move, the Chairman announced employment support for three members of the Ogunsemowo family, as a way to provide immediate relief and ensure long-term economic stability:
Miss Ogunsemowo Oluwafunmilayo Gloria (daughter), to support her education
Mr. Ogunsemowo Michael Adebola (son), an undergraduate
Mrs. Ogunsemowo Adeyinka Alirat (wife), to strengthen the family’s financial stability
“Supporting this family is not just a duty, it is a reflection of our collective gratitude for the sacrifices Mr. Ogunsemowo made in the service of our community,” he said.
The outreach extended further during a condolence stop at the residence of Mrs. Adeleye Grace, popularly known as Iya Teacher, the deceased’s older sister.
There, Otunba Anomo announced the employment of Mr. Oluaja Femi, a trained science educator, who has now been posted to Molajoye Senior Secondary School to contribute to the educational development of the area.
“This is our way of not only honoring the memory of a remarkable leader but also empowering the living and investing in the future of our LCDA,” he added.
The visit was a deeply touching gesture that combined remembrance with meaningful support, a hallmark of Otunba Anomo’s people-focused leadership and dedication to community welfare.
