The program began with a quiz competition among public primary schools in Eredo LCDA.
Among the 19 schools that was invited, 15 participated, with students showcasing their academic brilliance.
The winners were Ganiu Balikis of UPE Primary School, Ilara, who clinched the first position; Marvelous Emehimola of LG Primary School, Noforija, who emerged as the runner-up; and Abdula Ganiu Rokibat of UPE Primary School, Odogbawojo, who came third.

“Our children are the future, and their education is our top priority. This competition is a step toward nurturing the intellectual growth of our young minds.”
The program also included an empowerment initiative where over 50 residents received items like sewing machines, generators, grinding machines, and barbing tools.
These items were given to help people start or improve their businesses.
“This administration is committed to equipping our people with the tools they need to thrive,” said Mrs. Ismail Oyinloluwa, wife of the Executive Chairman.
“We believe that by empowering individuals, we empower the entire community.”
“This is our way of helping people stand on their own and support their families,” said Mrs. Ismail Oyinloluwa, the wife of the Executive Chairman, who led the initiative.
Another important part of the event was the Widows’ Might program, where over 300 widows and elderly people received cash gifts.
This was done to show care and support for the most vulnerable in the community.
Mrs. Oyinloluwa said, “We want to make sure everyone feels cared for and supported, especially those who need it the most.”

The chairman also thanked the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Eredo LCDA for their support, especially Hon. Wasiu Odeyemi (WASTAB).
Mrs. Oyinloluwa explained that this is the fourth time the program has been held under the current administration.
She also shared that changes were made this year to ensure better organization and safety after last year’s event faced some challenges.
