President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to his friend and political ally, Senator Aliyu Ahmed, on his recent turbaning as the Magajin Dangin Lafia. The honour, which is a traditional title, was bestowed upon Wadada by the Emir of Lafia and Chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, Justice Sidi Bage.
In a formal statement signed by his Special Assistant on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Eko Hot Blog reports that President Tinubu described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Wadada’s lifelong commitment to public service.

The President highlighted Senator Ahmed’s deep and authentic connection to his people and his significant contributions to the progress and development of both Nasarawa State and Nigeria as a whole.

President Tinubu also took the opportunity to commend the Emir of Lafia for upholding the time-honoured tradition of honouring individuals who demonstrate the highest values of the emirate. He specifically mentioned Wadada’s strong character, exemplary leadership, and profound patriotism as the reasons he was a fitting choice for the title.
Furthermore, the President expressed his strong confidence that Senator Wadada, in his new role as a traditional titleholder, will use his considerable influence and experience to actively promote peace and development within his community.
This new responsibility, Tinubu noted, will be in addition to his ongoing duties as a federal lawmaker, further solidifying his role as a public servant.
