Hon. Ogunkelu Sylvester Oluwadahunsi, representing Epe Constituency II and Chairman, House Committee on Physical Planning, Urban Development, and EGIS, has recorded a significant boost in grassroots support following a strategic engagement with political leaders and traditional institutions across Eredo LCDA.
Eko Hot Blog reports that on Sunday, the lawmaker held an “eyeball-to-eyeball” meeting with the five Ward Party Leaders in Epe Constituency II, where critical issues affecting the constituency were extensively discussed, alongside strategies to sustain ongoing developmental strides.

Building on the outcome of the meeting, Hon. Ogunkelu embarked on a comprehensive ward-to-ward tour across Eredo LCDA, engaging directly with residents, stakeholders, and community leaders.
The tour witnessed an overwhelming show of support, as constituents openly endorsed him for continuity in office.
In a further demonstration of respect for tradition and cultural institutions, the lawmaker also paid homage to revered monarchs within the axis.
Notably, he visited the Alara of Ilara at the Alara’s Palace, Odo-Noforija, as well as other traditional rulers across the wards, where he sought royal blessings and reaffirmed his commitment to community development.
Residents and stakeholders, during the engagements, expressed deep appreciation for his consistent presence and performance. Many described his leadership as accessible, responsive, and impactful.
A community leader remarked that “his style of leadership has bridged the gap between government and the grassroots, making governance more inclusive and people-focused.”
Another resident noted that “we have seen visible development and sustained engagement, and that is why we are confident in endorsing him for continuity.”
The interactions further strengthened the existing bond between the lawmaker and his constituents, reinforcing the trust and confidence reposed in his leadership.
Hon. Ogunkelu, while addressing the people, appreciated the show of support and reiterated his commitment to delivering more dividends of democracy.
