Eko Hot Blog reports that Daniel, who currently represents Ogun East in the Senate, was suspended alongside one of his loyalists, Kunle Folarin.
The suspensions were ratified by the State Working Committee (SWC) after their respective wards – Ward 4 and Ward 6 in Sagamu Local Government Area recommended disciplinary action.
Both politicians were accused of engaging in acts that undermine the party’s interest.
According to a statement issued by the party’s spokesperson, Nuberu Olufemi, disciplinary committees had been set up at the ward level to probe the allegations.
However, neither Daniel nor Folarin responded to the invitations sent to them to appear before the panels.

“They were invited to defend themselves, present evidence, or seek pardon from the party, but they ignored all invitations,” the statement read.
The spokesperson added that the committees, after hearing from witnesses and reviewing documents, discovered that the accused had also been intimidating party members and discouraging them from cooperating with the investigation.
“They were using their positions in the party to pressure others into withdrawing petitions against them.
This threatened the integrity of the disciplinary process,” Olufemi added.
Based on their refusal to participate in the inquiry and allegations of interference, the committees recommended an indefinite suspension pending further investigation a decision that has now been upheld by the state leadership of the party.
The development comes amid speculation of a growing rift between Senator Daniel and Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Tensions escalated recently when buildings reportedly linked to the senator were marked for demolition by the state government.
