Mr. Dai, a notorious gang leader, was wanted for orchestrating violent organized crimes in China’s Guizhou Province. He fled the country in 2024 after the Public Security Bureau of Zhijin County issued a warrant for his arrest. INTERPOL operatives in Nigeria tracked and arrested him in Abuja on August 8, 2025.
Following his arrest, the police deported him to Beijing on August 15, 2025, under a police-to-police cooperation framework.
