The Osun State Police Command has commenced investigations into the mysterious death of a woman, identified as Bidemi Omole, who died in the home of her boyfriend, Yinka, in Esa-Oke town.
Eko Hot Blog reports that a community sources said Bidemi had gone to Yinka’s residence on Friday evening but suddenly fell ill and died not long after her arrival.

The incident, which happened around 9:30 p.m., caused panic in the neighbourhood as residents trooped to the suspect’s house in the Oke Esa area upon hearing the news.
A resident, identified as Taye, said the deceased was believed to have been on her way to a Friday night vigil before the incident occurred. “We heard cries for help and rushed to Yinka’s house. By the time I got there, the crowd was already large, and security officers were present. The police eventually took the boyfriend away,” she explained.

Confirming the development, the Public Relations Officer of the Osun State Police Command, Abiodun Ojelabi, said the matter was reported on Saturday and that the suspect is currently in custody.
Ojelabi said preliminary information revealed that Bidemi fell ill shortly after arriving at her boyfriend’s home and began vomiting.
She was being taken to a hospital when she died on the way.
“The deceased, Bidemi Omole, visited her boyfriend in Esa-Oke and developed sudden health complications. She was rushed to a hospital but unfortunately died on the way.
The suspect is already with the police, and an autopsy will be carried out to determine the actual cause of death,” he said.
The police assured residents that a thorough investigation would be conducted to uncover the true circumstances behind the incident.
