He assured that the council, in collaboration with relevant law enforcement agencies, would clamp down on violators.
“Driving against traffic is not only unlawful but also a dangerous act that can lead to avoidable accidents and the loss of innocent lives.
As a responsible government, we are committed to ensuring the safety of all road users. Anyone caught violating this directive will be promptly arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law,” Akinloye stated.

The council boss appealed to residents, commercial drivers, and private motorists to comply with traffic laws, emphasizing that road discipline is a shared duty that safeguards all.
He further reiterated his administration’s commitment to fostering orderliness, public safety, and sustainable development in line with the THEMES agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.
Eredo LCDA has therefore urged all road users to drive responsibly, obey traffic regulations, and contribute to making the community safer.
