Eko Hot Blog reports that the education-support initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and guardians while expanding access to tertiary education for young people within Eredo LCDA.
It forms part of the Chairman’s broader commitment to youth empowerment, human capital development, and inclusive governance.
Speaking on the initiative, the council leadership described the programme as a deliberate effort to ensure that no qualified student is denied the opportunity to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination due to financial constraints.
“Education remains a key priority of this administration, and this free JAMB UTME sponsorship is designed to give our youths a fair chance to pursue their academic dreams,” the council stated.
Eligible candidates are advised to promptly take advantage of the opportunity, as the exercise is currently ongoing and targeted strictly at indigenes and bona fide residents of Eredo LCDA.
