Gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked Usubu community in Niger State, abducting young mothers while leaving behind their ailing infants.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the incident, which occurred late Saturday night, was revealed in a post on X by security analyst Bakatsine on Sunday.

According to the report, the attackers stormed the community and forcefully took away several women, many of them nursing mothers, abandoning their babies, some less than a year old.

“Last night, gunmen suspected to be bandits attacked Usubu community in Niger State, abducted young mothers and left behind their sick babies under one year old. When will this horror end in Nigeria?” Bakatsine wrote.
As of the time of this report, security agencies had yet to release an official statement on the incident.
