EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Chief Security Adviser to the Governor, Jerry Omadara, issued the strong warning during a briefing for stakeholders at the palace of the Elegbe of Egbe in Kogi West.
Omadara disclosed that intelligence reports indicate some youths in Okun land are using motorcycles to deliver weapons and food to bandits in the forests. He also alleged that some women supply the criminals with provisions and vital information.
During the briefing, he claimed that at least six youths are already on a security watchlist for being on the payroll of bandits. “We will expose such people at the appropriate time because enough is enough,” he said.
The Chief Security Adviser assured the stakeholders that the government is increasing pressure on criminal groups, noting that security forces have already arrested or killed several bandit leaders.
He declared that the government would not stop until it makes communities safe and ensures that residents can return to their farms without fear.
Omadara appealed to youths to direct their energy toward productive ventures, particularly agriculture, which the government has heavily invested in.
