British actor Idris Elba has described Lagos as the most amazing city in the world, praising its energy and wealth of creative talent.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Golden Globe-winning star made the remarks during an interview with ETalk TV on the red carpet at the TIFF Tribute Awards on September 7.

In a video now circulating on social media, Elba reflected on his stay in Lagos while filming Dust to Dreams, noting that the city left him with unforgettable memories.
“Lagos, if you have never been there, is the most amazing city in the world. I had a great time. The talent there is incredible,” he said.
Elba also shared a highlight from his visit when British singer Seal, who has Nigerian roots, performed in Lagos while switching into a Nigerian accent, a moment he described as unforgettable.
Widely acclaimed for his roles in Luther and Beasts of No Nation, Elba has earned several accolades, including a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and an OBE for services to drama. In 2016, Time magazine named him among its 100 Most Influential People.
