The colourful event featured cultural displays and vibrant traditional attire, with guests including the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade; the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Ọlaoye; former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun; and the Chief Imam of Ibadan.

Security was tight, with operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Army ensuring order throughout the ceremony.
The Olubadan stool is one of Nigeria’s most respected traditional institutions, noted for its unique and structured line of succession, which makes the ascension process orderly and largely uncontested.
